As Lent approaches Rules for Fast and Abstinence

The Law of Abstinence from Meat binds who have celebrated their 14th birthday. The last of fasting binds those who have attained their majority (18) until their 59th birthday.

Abstinence is on Fridays. Both abstinence and fasting are to be observed on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday.

Fast means there is on full meal only and two snacks that put together should not equal a full meal and nothing more during the day.
